Why study in GEM ?


Academic programs > Industrial and systems engineering

The field of Industrial and Systems Engineering covers topics such as production management, scheduling in production and logistics, system quality and reliability, project management and estimates.
It overlaps with other fields such as Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies insofar as they use identical modelling tools for company production and information systems. Project Management and Human Resources Management come within both Industrial and Systems Engineering and Economic and Social Sciences.
It makes extensive use of modeling based on Discrete Mathematics and Stochastic Modeling. Operational Research, Scheduling and Optimization are the key topics of this field.
All these areas are also part of the generic engineering methods.
