You may have a mobile telephone with an international dial subscription. If not, phone cards can be bought and there are public phone boxes on campus and in town.
To dial abroad you dial 00 + country code + the number of your correspondent.
To dial to France from abroad you dial the international code (usually 00) + country code for France (33) + the number of the correspondent.
Stamps for letters can be bought from the Post Office (La Poste) or from a "tabac", tobacconist's recognizable by a double red cone.Mail boxes are yellow. Check at the post-office for postage rates to your country.
Free access to high-speed e-mail and internet is available on computers on the campuses or on their personal computers through the Students House or Maison des Elèves.
