> Center for Energy and Processes (CEP)
The Center for Energy Studies was created at the end of 1976 after the first oil crisis. After an initial phase during which research topics focused particularly on solar energy and energy storage, the Centres activities gradually developed towards a broader research field'a They were consolidated by the addition of skills in remote sensing and geographical information and now cover a much wider area corresponding essentially to a predominant theme: Energy and Technological Innovation .
These activities, which range from specifically scientific research to more technological studies, as well as work of a more economic nature, can be divided into three domains:
Methodological studies and modelling
Technological innovations
General studies on energy and the environment
Lines of research
Energy and thermal applications in industry
Applied thermodynamics
Life cycle assesment of buildings
Demand side management
High-efficiency air-conditioning systems with low environmental impact
Impacts of energy production
Optimization of the scale and management of energy systems and processes
