Research areas

Geostatistics involves studying phenomena correlated in time and space by means of a statistical tool: the theory of regionalized variables. The Centre's objectives are threefold:
 to develop rigorous mathematical techniques for estimating or simulating the phenomena;
 to implement these techniques in a variety of fields of application;
 to pass on the Centre's knowledge to our students and to experienced engineers.

Fields of application
 Petroleum
 Mining
 Fisheries
 Finance
 Environment
