OBJECTIVES
Companies today are confronted with new forms of competition linked to :
the development of strategies centered on quality and service
the increasing presence of information and communication technologies that give rise to new forms of productive systems and market organization.
The research topics of the department are focused on the analysis of the conditions for the emergence of :
information technologies
new products and services
new organizational structures in new industrial and market contexts.
The knowledge developed by the department has two goals :
to contribute to the training of the student engineers through the development of methodology and course material. The future engineers thus acquire an understanding of the development of these new products, organizations and technologies in industrial environments.
to provide economic partners with the necessary knowledge and methodological tools to optimize their activity within the new system of industrial organization.
RESEARCH ORIENTATION
Two areas of research are explored in the frame of management science, information science and the sociology of enterprises :
Product / market : the new forms of the production / market relationship linked to the development of new products and activities.
