> Geophysics Research Centre (GEOPHY)
The Geophysical Research Centre was created in 1993 on the basis of a theme focusing on oil applications in this field'a Research conducted at the Centre is therefore essentially oriented towards the digital modelling of the propagation of elastic waves and methods of seismic imaging of sedimentary structures. Applications, extending as far as life-scale demonstrations with real oil exploration data, make up the backbone of our work. Other applications of seismic and seismological methods are also implemented, similarly on the basis of real data, but on other scales (regional geophysical tomography, reservoir geophysics, "small-scale geophysics" applied to civil engineering).
Lines of research
In-depth imaging on the basis of surface seismic data
Estimation of the macro-model of seismic velocity
Quantitative imaging of complex structures
Exploitation of images and AVA
VHR seismic imaging of the subsurface
Vulcanism
