The Laboratory for Particle Characterization contains instruments for determining particle size and morphological analysis, sampling and sample division (Malvern 2000 and Coulter LS 100 laser diffraction, Horiba Capa 700 centrifugal sedimentation, etc.). It also has an Aphelion image analysis system coupled with optical microscopes, Philips SEM and Philips environmental SEM.
The Laboratory for Porous Media has instruments for determination of solids density, specific surface, pore size distribution, surface analysis (gas adsorption apparatus, porosimeter, helium pycnometer, mixing calorimeter, etc.).
The Laboratory for Powder Mechanics has a Hosokawa powder tester for measuring angles of repose, bulk density and the determination of flow and floodability indices, powder rheometer, and a fully instrumented Frogerais tabletting machine, etc.
The Laboratory for Physical-Chemistry has a Spectra-Physics HPLC, a Hewlett-Packard 5890 gas chromatograph, an SMS dynamic vapour adsorption apparatus...
The Particle Design Laboratory has mixers, an air sieve, a fluidized bed granulator, a torque rheometer, a Nara NH1 Hybridiser, etc.
The Supercritical fluids processing laboratory contains a Separex pilot plant for extraction and particle production by RESS and SAS, autoclaves, separators, a lab-size particle production apparatus, etc.
A Pilot Plant Hall, contains 5 cabins with a powder containment filtration system, a vacuum micro-wave drying rig, ultrasonic generators, various mills and equipment.
